Rotherham United have completed the signing of Shamrock Rovers left-back Trevor Clarke on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Clarke made 97 appearances during his four-year stint at Tallaght.

He had previously been with Middlesborough as an academy player.  

Clarke has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level, and he was called into the Under-21 squad last year.

The 21-year-old was also named as the PFAI Young Player of the Year in 2017, as well as picking up the Shamrock Rovers Young Player of the Year accolade on two occasions.

Clarke could make his League 1 debut on Saturday against AFC Wimbledon.
