Republic of Ireland underage international Troy Parrott caught the eye as he set up a goal for Tottenham Hotspur in the friendly with Juventus today.

The promising 17-year-old lined out in the Spurs attack alongside Dele Alli and Son against the Serie A champions, who feature international stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Leonardo Bonucci and Gianluigi Buffon in their starting 11.

He started the move which saw him have a shot saved by Gianluigi Buffon and Erik Lamela tapped home.

It was part of an impressive 45 minutes before he was substituted. Spurs went on to win the game 3-2.

Parrott has made impressive progress at Spurs this year, signing his first professional contract with Mauricio Pochettino's side.

The Ireland Under-19 attacker moved to London last June from Dublin schoolboys outfit Belvedere and his performances against the likes of Inter Milan and Barcelona in the UEFA Youth League did not go unnoticed.
