Daniel Sturridge has appealed to burglars to return his pet dog after his home in Los Angeles was broken into.

Sturridge posted a video on his Instagram page that showed a badly damaged door.

The 29-year-old claims in the video that bags were taken after a break-in and offered a reward for information on the whereabouts of his dog.

"Somebody has broken into the house in LA and took my dog from the house," he said.

"Whoever knows who broke into my crib, I'll pay you anything. I'm dead serious. I want to know who took my s***.  I want to know why they've took my dog. I want to know why they took bags from upstairs.

"How can you break into a house in LA and take someone's dog? Are you crazy? You've come into a house to take a dog. Somebody, please find my dog. I'll pay anything, I'm dead serious. I want my dog back."

Sturridge is currently a free agent after his contract with Liverpool expired at the end of June.
