Lucy Bronze's family believe the English team will be very confident going into tonight's World Cup semi-final with favourites USA.

Bronze has been described as the best player in the world by manager Phil Neville but they will have to be at their very best against the much-fancied Americans in the match live on RTÉ2 tonight.

Speaking to RTÉ Sport outside the Olympic Stadium in Lyon, Bronze’s aunt and grandmother have been discussing her rise in the game, saying she had a football at her feet since the age of two.

Julie Tough and grandmother Gloria Stapleton have been speaking to Tony O’Donoghue.

They say they are "bursting with pride" ahead of the game.
