US President Donald Trump has invited the nation's women's football team to the White House after player Megan Rapinoe said she would not attend a visit, telling her she should respect the office.
Trump has also urged the team to "finish the job" by winning the World Cup as part of the invitation.
"Psssh, I'm not going to the ******* White House," Rapinoe commented to Eight by Eight after being asked about the possibility recently.
The president has responded, referencing the NBA after a dispute involving the Warriors.
However, he added: "Leagues and teams love coming to the White House. I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women's Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job! We haven’t yet invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose.
"Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team.
"Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!"
USA play hosts France in a quarter-final on Friday night.
