On this week's RTÉ Soccer Podcast, Marie Crowe is joined by Johnny McDonnell and James O'Toole. They discuss the week of action in the SSE Airtiricty League.

They also look back on the FA Cup final and the appointment of Noel Mooney to a role with the FAI from UEFA.

McDonnell said of the move to bring in Mooney:  "The first thing I would say is he has a great interest in the league. He knows the league, he knows the FAI. He is going in on an interim basis.

"I don’t know who comes after him. He knows the place and knows his way around it.

"I think he should go and speak to people that have their feet on the ground in the league.

"If he is going to come in here and get the place 'tidied up' for the want of a better term, and get it ready for the next person that comes in to be take on the job, then so be it.

"If he is trying to build bridges and build relationships for the FAI over the next six months, he is a good guy at doing that."
