David Meyler's season might be over after he dislocated his shoulder today while playing for Coventry against Bristol City.
The midfielder had only been on the pitch for a little over ten minutes, after replacing Tom Bayliss, who himself is suspected to have broken his wrist. He fell awkwardly after a challenge with Abu Ogogo.
The 29 year-old was called up to Mick McCarthy's initial extended squad for recent Euro 2020 qualifiers with Gibraltar and Georgia but the Cork native didn't make the cut when the panel was cut down to the 23 for those games.
Today's setback might rule him out of June's qualifiers with Denmark and Gibraltar.
Meyler signed for Championship club Reading at the start of the season, before being loaned out to the League One Sky Blues in January.
