Dundalk have signed midfielder Joe McKee on loan from Falkirk.
The Glasgow native comes to Oriel Park until the summer.
McKee began his career with Livingston and Burnley before moving on to Bolton Wanderers after a loan move to St Mirren.
A three-year spell with Greenock Morton, winning Scotland's League One, followed a season with Carlisle United.
The 26 year-old joined Falkirk in January 2017 and made 47 appearances for the Scottish Championship outfit prior to his loan to Oriel Park.
The Lilywhites made their move for McKee in response to injuries to Robbie Benson and Patrick McEleney.
McKee said: "It's all about winning games. I want to help win as many games as we can. I want to try do as well as I can for the team. I want to make an impact."
The midfielder is intent on making an impact in his time here and is confident his experience in the UK can help do that.
"Hopefully, I can do that. Hopefully, we can get things going and start with this weekend. I have played a few games in Scotland and England so I have a bit of experience. Hopefully that can help the team.
"I am happy to be here. It has been a hectic few days and I am happy to get the deal done and join the club.
"I had to do a bit of research on the club and I only heard about it in the past few days but it's good and good to get things done.
"I came over for a look on Tuesday. I flew back on Wednesday but as soon as I came over for a look I knew I wanted to come here."
In December 2017, McKee was banned for four games for allegedly making comments to Dunfermline opponent Dean Shiels - son of former Derry boss Kenny - relating to him being blind in one eye.
Shiels had been sent off for a tackle on McKee.
McKee protested his innocence at the time but was found guilty of 'excessive misconduct'.
His Falkirk team-mate Kevin O'Hara was banned for eight games.
