Andy Boyle has joined Scottish Championship side Ross County on loan until the end of the season.

The former Dundalk star spent the first half of this season on loan at Dundee FC. He also had loan spells at Hibernian and Doncaster Rovers since moving from Dundalk to the Championship two years ago.

Indeed, the Lilywhites and Shamrock Rovers were reportedly keen to bring Boyle back to the League of Ireland, but the 27-year-old, who has one cap for the Republic of Ireland, will now focus on helping Ross County achieve an instant return to the the Scottish top flight.
