Tottenham defender Serge Aurier was arrested by police on suspicion of assault on Saturday, it has emerged.
Aurier was arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm (ABH) following a police visit to his home in Hertfordshire on Saturday.
While he was released without charge, the incident meant that he missed Tottenham's Sunday game against Manchester United, which they lost 1-0.
A statement from Hertfordshire police confirmed: "A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of ABH. He has been released with no further action."
Aurier's club also confirmed the incident in a short statement which read: "We are aware of an incident concerning Serge Aurier this weekend."
