Manchester City teenager Brahim Diaz is on the verge of completing a move to Real Madrid which could be worth up to €24.5m.
City were keen to keep the 19-year-old Spaniard but believe the initial fee of €17.3m, with potential add-ons of €7.3m, represents a good deal for a player who had just six months remaining on his contract.
The deal also includes a 15% sell-on fee but, interestingly, it is understood that rises to 40% should Real sell the Spain Under-21 international to Manchester United.
Diaz has been at City since joining from home-town club Malaga at the age of 14 but has seen first-team opportunities limited at the Etihad, with the likes of Raheem Sterling, Leroy Sane and Riyad Mahrez ahead of him in the pecking order.
In total, Diaz has made 15 appearances for Pep Guardiola's side, his most recent being last month's Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Leicester.
Celtic have signed winger Oliver Burke on loan from West Brom until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old Scotland international joined the Baggies from RB Leipzig in 2017.
He has five caps for his country and has featured 21 times for the Championship side.
Burke is joining up with Brendan Rodgers' squad in Dubai this week for their winter training camp.
West Brom's sporting and technical director Luke Dowling ruled out a permanent switch.
"To be fair to Oli, there have been a lot of changes at the club since his arrival which have not helped him," Dowling told the Baggies' website. "The opportunity to join a club of Celtic's stature on loan was felt by everyone to be the best pathway to help develop his career.
"Oli liked what Celtic had to offer and he has obviously got the opportunity to play on a great stage which should be of benefit to him.
"I would stress that there is no 'option to buy' clause at the end of the loan and he will be back with us at the end of the season."
Rangers have signed pre-contract agreements with Glen Kamara [above] and Jordan Jones.
The Ibrox club confirmed that the 23-year-old Dundee midfielder and the Kilmarnock winger, 24 will join the Light Blues in the summer on four-year contracts.
Finland international Kamara, who came through the ranks at Arsenal, has been at Dens Park since 2017.
Jones, a Northern Ireland international, joined Killie in 2016 from Middlesbrough and on his official Twitter account, he said: "Unbelievably proud day for me and my family, I've waited for this moment for a long time and today is a dream come true! #WATP
"I've said it before and will say it again I couldn't be more grateful to @KilmarnockFC for their support and backing the last 3 years.
"Without them I couldn't of achieved this dream. I have give everything for the club and will continue to do so. Thankyou."
