Dundalk have confirmed the appointment of Vinny Perth as their new head coach on a two-year deal but John Gill will take charge of the first team.
Perth served as Stephen Kenny's assistant at Oriel Park since 2013, playing a key role in an unprecedented period of success.
Kenny took up the Republic of Ireland Under-21 job in November and will manage the national team after the European Championships in 2020.
Dundalk chairman Mike Treacy said that the club was introducing a new coaching structure and a statement on the club's website said that Gill will have "specific responsibility for the first team, and will be assisted by Perth on first team matters."
Ruaidhri Higgins is the new assistant head coach.
"I am excited by the challenges ahead, namely defending our League of Ireland and FAI Cup trophies, and embarking on another European campaign," Perth said.
"As First Team Coach, John is someone who will bring vital experience, hard work and dedication to the club.
"John and I have shared football ideas and philosophies for many years and I am excited to work with him. John brings a huge level of experience to the management team."
