Mauricio Pochettino is keeping the faith that Tottenham can pull off a remarkable Champions League escape act and squeeze into the last 16.

Two Harry Kane goals in the last 12 minutes broke PSV hearts at Wembley as the hosts eked out a crucial 2-1 win that left them with four points after four games.

Inter are on seven, with Barcelona on 10 and already safely through to the knockout stages.

Spurs realistically have to beat Inter at Wembley in three weeks and then get at least a point at the Nou Camp  to get out of Group B.

It's a tall order, but Pochettino is taking it one step at a time.

Pochettino: "I was relaxed!" he joked to RTÉ Sport when reflecting on the closing stages of a good battle in London.

"The team was playing well. I think we fully deserved the victory. I'm happy we are still alive. The next game against Inter Milan is a must win. We are going to fight to try to be in the next stage.

"Always in football it's about belief. I think we should be in a different position in the table but that's the reality. We believe we can [go to the knockout rounds].

"First of all we need to play against Inter. Then we need to manage Barcelona. We'll see what happens. Maybe they'll be qualified and the game will be different.

"But the most important thing now is to be focused on Inter Milan and be in the same position as them."
