Real Sociedad midfielder Luca Sangalli is recovering in hospital after suffering a mild stroke, the club has revealed.
The 23-year-old was rushed to hospital on Wednesday, but the news on Thursday was encouraging.
A club statement said: "He has spent the night well, has slept well, has risen with hunger and has eaten without problems."
Sociedad had confirmed on Wednesday that Sangalli had been taken ill via its official Twitter account.
A post said: "This morning, Luca Sangalli suffered a mild stroke. He is now in the Stroke Unit of the Hospital Universitario Donostia, where his progress is being monitored."
Sangalli has made six appearances for the club this season, the last of them in Saturday's 2-0 La Liga defeat at Atletico Madrid.
Sociedad drew 1-1 at Celta Vigo in the Copa del Rey in his absence on Thursday evening.
