Television viewers will have to make the difficult choice between watching Simon Cowell or Harry Kane on Saturday evening as the Premier League game between Wolves and Tottenham kicks-off at 7:45pm.
The Saturday prime-time slot is a relatively new one for the Premier League and the game was originally scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday 4 November, but changed due to Spurs’ involvement in the Champions League.
The London side take on PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday November 6 at 8pm in Wembley and the Saturday evening kick-off will give Spurs more time to recover.
It’s the second time this calendar year that Tottenham have been involved in a Saturday evening game as they hosted Manchester City in the same time slot back in April, a game they lost 3-1.
Premier League organisers will have a keen eye on the reaction Saturday’s game, as from next season 7:45pm weekend kick-offs will become a regular feature with eight matches over the course of the season pencilled in for that time-slot.
