Ireland captain Seamus Coleman believes that Everton can take the positives from their trip to Old Trafford, despite going down 2-1 to Manchester United on Sunday.
The Everton right back, who has recently returned from a stress fracture in his foot, played the entire 90 minutes as the Toffees attempted to fight back for a result in Manchester, having fallen 2-0 down in the 49th minute.
The Goodison Park outfit managed to pull one goal back in the 77th minute through a Gylfi Sigurdsson penalty but were unable to fashion an equaliser.
Everton remain in the top half of the table and welcome Brighton to Goodison Park on Saturday, and hope to build on what Coleman felt was a positive performance at Old Trafford.
"We had three wins on the bounce, which is massive in the Premier League," the Ireland right-back said. "Coming here was always going to be tough but we believed we could get something.
"Unfortunately, we didn't but we've got to crack on, keep the spirits high and look forward to going back to Goodison."
Coleman has not suffered any ill effects from the foot injury picked up during Ireland’s 4-1 thrashing by Wales in Cardiff in September and now should be available for the November double-header against Northern Ireland and Denmark.
