A spiky Jose Mourinho deflected a question about Paul Pogba taking on former club Juventus in Tuesday's Champions League clash at Old Trafford.
Speaking to the media ahead of the game, the Manchester United boss bluntly told reporters: "I don't like this press conference.
"I don't want to speak about Pogba, I don't want to speak about individuals, I don't want to speak to the Spanish journalists because they are only interested in Real Madrid and Ronaldo.
"Now I'm going to play against one of the big clubs in the world, one of the biggest candidates of winning the competition, that's what motivates me, that's what brings me here and this press conference is going in another direction so if you go in another direction, I also want to go in another direction. No I'm serious."
Mourinho then launched an impassioned defence of Chelsea coach Marco Ianni, whose touchline celebrations at the weekend touched a nerve with the Portuguese and led to a melee near the tunnel at Stamford Bridge.
The United boss reiterated that had he received an apology from Ianni and now considers the matter closed.
Mourinho added: "I'm not happy that it's going too far with the young boy. I don't think he deserves more than what he got. He apologised to me, I accept his apologies, I think he deserves a second chance."
That said, the Portuguese has been reminded of his responsibilities by the Football Association, while Ianni has been charged with improper conduct.
Among the questions to get under Mourinho's skin was one about the Real Madrid job as doubts grow over manager Julen Lopetegui's future with the European champions.
When the prospect of returning to his former club was mentioned, the Portuguese reiterated his commitment to United.
"No, I am happy here," Mourinho said.
"I am happy here. I am happy to see out my contract to the very last day of that contract and I would like to stay after my contract runs out as well.
"All I am thinking about at the moment is Manchester United."
