Former Republic of Ireland international Stephen Ireland has signed a short-term deal with Championship side Bolton Wanderers.
The 32-year-old was released by Stoke City in June after the club's relegation from the Premier League.
Speaking on the Bolton Wanderers website, manager Phil Parkinson said: "Although he's got a bit to do in terms of match fitness, we've got a lot of games coming up and I'm sure he will make a positive contribution."
Ireland also played with Manchester City Aston Villa and Newcastle since moving to England from Cobh Ramblers in 2005.
Bolton Wanderers are pleased to announce that they have signed Stephen Ireland on a short-term contract.
