The FAI has made moves to boost the attendance of this year’s Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup final.
All Under-16 clubs and schools in the country are being offered the opportunity to avail of free tickets for the showpiece event of Irish football on Sunday 4 November.
The FAI has also directed the day is closed for football across the country to help clubs attend the final.
The Continental Tyres FAI Women's Cup final precedes the men’s final which is between Dundalk and Cork City or Bohemians.
"We're delighted to be able to offer free tickets to all clubs and schools across the country to help them join us in the most important day in the Irish domestic calendar," said FAI competitions director Fran Gavin.
"We want the two FAI Cup finals to become a real celebration of the domestic game and we want all clubs to join us on finals day so people get to experience the atmosphere of finals day.
"The way the two competitions are shaping up, it looks like we're going to have two fantastic finals on our hands and we'd love to see as many clubs and schools there as possible to experience our two headline matches of the season."
The Àssociation has been under pressure to increase attendances at the final after growth in events such as the Ladies GAA event at Croke Park which hosted 50,000 supporters this year.
The last three Cup finals have attracted an average crowd of 25,000.
