It was another night of disjointed frustration for Manchester United as they laboured to a goalless draw against Valencia in the Champions League.

Old Trafford, far from full at the kick-off, was flat and fans streamed for the exits long before the final whistle as Jose Mourinho's men produced a pedestrian and uninspired performance.

The pressure has not eased on Mourinho, and the consensus from the RTÉ panel is that his days are numbered.

"I think it is over," Liam Brady said on the RTÉ Soccer Social programme.

"It's stark, the result are just not good enough, the performances, the way Manchester United play is just not good enough. You could hear a pin drop tonight.

"It's quiet because there's a lack of quality, there's no strategy, no plan, no pattern. It really is poor."

Damien Duff, who played under Mourinho at Chelsea, agreed.

"I think there's players in that starting 11 that aren't good enough to be in a Manchester United squad, let alone a team.

"What made Mourinho a great manager was his level of detail. It was absolutely scary - on and off the pitch."

And Richie Sadlier questioned the boss's part in the lack of swagger in the side.

"I'd love to know what Mourinho thinks his role is in the morale or the confidence in the dressing room," he said.
