Championship outfit Rotherham United have re-signed Richie Towell on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion on a season-long loan deal, subject to FA and Premier League clearance.
Towell had been heavily linked for a return to the Millers ever since the play-off final victory over Shrewsbury in May, made 45 appearances in all competitions last season, scoring six goals – with his strike against Northampton winning the goal of the season award.
Ryan Manning, formerly of Galway United, also joined on loan from QPR earlier this window.
Towell moved Brighton in 2016 from Dundalk and has renewed his contract since.
He could make his debut tomorrow against Paul Cook's Wigan Athletic.
Meanwhile, Jonathan Walters has completed his loan move from Burnley to Ipswich.
