Gary Rowett is dreaming of a team of James McCleans after the Republic of Ireland international scored his first Stoke City goal to help kick-start the Potters Championship season.
Since joining from fellow relegated side West Brom, the Derryman has endured a difficult start to life at Stoke - winless for four matches and involved in a bust-up with team-mates during the midweek defeat to Wigan.
However, fans at the Bet365 Stadium saw the best of McClean as he hammered in the opener eight minutes into the 2-0 win over Hull.
New Stoke boss Rowett was full of praise for McClean - acknowledging the work ethic that will be familiar to Republic of Ireland fans.
"He's an easy player to sometimes criticise, and I know in his first few games he's not performed as he would have liked, but one thing you cannot criticise James McClean for is his commitment," the Stoke boss told reporters.
"In fact, I think McClean sums us up. About 75 minutes into the game, they're down to 10 men, we're 2-0 up and he sprints back 60 yards to atone for one of his team-mates' errors and makes a last-ditch tackle.
"He did that to help the team out, and I want more of that. For me, we haven't got enough of those players in the building. They're the type of people we want because hard work will always get rewarded."
