Wexford were already out of the running to qualify from Group 1 after two defeats in their opening fixtures. Their win though means Linfield were condemned to bottom spot in a pool topped by Ajax.

Captain Kylie Murphy opened the scoring for Youths after 12 minutes and shortly after Rianna Jarrett nodded in a beautiful cross from Nicola Sinnott.

Linfield got one back just before the break when Megan Bell’s free kick was deflected past keeper Sophie Lenehan.

Right on 90 minutes it looked as though they had done enough to share the points when substitute Clare Timoney pounced from a scramble in the area.

But there was time for a late winner, Murphy scoring again with the last kick of the game.
