Cork City will begin their Irish Daily Mail FAI Cup defence with an afternoon kick-off against Leinster Senior League side Home Farm as the schedule for the first round fixtures have been confirmed.
The sides will meet in Whitehall on 12 August at 1pm.
Home Farm finished ninth in the second tier of the LSL and can look forward to welcoming the reigning champions, who wrapped up a memorable double at the Aviva Stadium back in November when Kieran Sadlier drilled home the decisive penalty in a nerve-shredding shootout against Dundalk.
The 2017 finalists are due to host Cobh Ramblers at Oriel Park on 10 August at 7.45pm. But that fixture will depend on whether or not Stephen Kenny's side qualify for the UEFA Europa League, third qualifying round. In the case of Dundalk going through, their clash with Cobh will be moved to 12 August.
Cobh are third from bottom on the First Division table on 24 points.
Meanwhile, Derry City will travel to take on Blarney United at O'Shea Park on Saturday 11 August, with kick-off at 5pm while Shamrock Rovers and Drogheda United will meet for a 7.45pm kick-off on Friday 10 August.
