Republic of Ireland's James McClean is facing internal disciplinary proceedings at West Brom after failing to report for a training camp without permission.

A report on The Baggies' website says that McClean failed to appear for training at St Andrew's University, where the club will be based for a four-day training camp until Thursday.

"James McClean has failed to report without permission and will now face internal disciplinary proceedings," the club say.

It also writes that head coach Darren Moore has allowed four players to stay behind and continue work at the Club's Palm Training Ground. These include Kieran Gibbs and Sam Field, who are undergoing treatment for thigh and groin strains while Craig Dawson and Hal Robson-Kanu have also been given permission to stay at home for family reasons.

McClean however, was not included in the list, and was at the Carlisle Grounds over the weekend to watch Bray Wanderers take on his brother Patrick's club Sligo Rovers.

McClean has been linked with a transfer to Cardiff and Celtic since West Brom's relegation.
