Stoke City are reportedly on the verge of signing Republic of Ireland winger James McClean from West Brom.
The Derry native started the last six games of the Baggies' season under caretaker manager Darren Moore, after mainly featuring as a sub under Alan Pardew and Tony Pulis.
Both teams were relegated from the Premier League last year and new Potters manager Gary Rowett is known to be an admirer of McClean, having tried to buy him for former club Derby.
McClean (29) is entering the final year of his contract and is expected to command a fee of around £5m.
West Brom are believed to have turned down a bid of £4m from Stoke earlier this month.
McClean joined West Brom from Wigan in 2015 and went on to make 112 appearances for the club.
Meanwhile, Rowett has appointed former Stoke and Republic of Ireland full-back Rory Delap as a defence coach to the first team.
Stoke City are pleased to confirm the appointment of Kevin Phillips, Callum Davidson, Rory Delap, Mark Sale, Dave Carolan and Joe Carnall to manager Gary Rowett’s backroom team.
