A Dublin fixture with Chelsea in August will form part of Unai Emery’s first pre-season as Arsenal manager.

The sides will meet at the Aviva stadium on Wednesday August 1st in the International Champions Cup.

Liverpool play Napoli three days later at the same venue, the weekend before the start of the 2018/19 Premier League season.

The match will mark the third-time that the International Champions Cup comes to Ireland and the second time to the Aviva Stadium. In 2016, FC Barcelona beat Celtic 3-1 at the Aviva, while F.C. Internazionale beat Celtic 2-0 at Thomond Park.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, 15 June.

Chelsea’s pre season programme includes a Community Shield meeting with Manchester City.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal will have to be content with Europa League football in the season ahead after missing out on a top four-finish in the Premier League.
