Bastien Héry and Ismahil Akinade have penned fresh deals with Waterford that will keep them at the RSC for another year and a half.

The Blues have tied down the pair for the 2019 season.

Classy midfielder Héry joined Waterford from Limerick at the start of this campaign, while Akinade made the move from Bohemians over the winter.

They've both played their part in a fine return to the top flight for Alan Reynolds' side, who are third in the Airtricity League Premier Division table and host St Pat's tomorrow night.

"Since I’ve come to the club, I have really enjoyed my football," Héry said.

"Everything is set up and ready to go for the club to move forward and I want nothing more than to be part of that. There is a great team of people, both staff and players, here."

Striker Akinade echoed those sentiments, and said he's "honoured" to remain at the club.

"It was a new challenge to me coming here having left Dublin but I must say I've enjoyed every minute here.

"The dressing room, the fans, the facilities… all brilliant. I’m really looking forward to the future and honoured to be part of it moving forward."
