The Netherlands 2-2 Italy
(The Netherlands win 4-1 on penalties)
The Netherlands have won the Under-17 European Championship with a penalty shootout victory over Italy in the final.
Jurrien Maduro broke the deadlock at the start of the second half to give Holland the lead but Italy quickly turned the match on its head just after the hour mark with goals from Samuele Ricci and Alessio Riccardi.
Substitute Brian Brobbey made it 2-2 after 72 minutes and the match went to penalties.
Holland, who accounted for hosts England on spot-kicks in the semi-finals, went on to prevail 4-1 in the shootout to claim their third European Under-17 title.
The Dutch also beat the Republic of Ireland on penalties in the quarter-finals in hugely controversial fashion.
Jimmy Corcoran kept out Daishawn Redan fifth penalty for Holland but Czech Republic referee Zbynek Proske deemed that the Cherry Orchard goalkeeper had advanced from his line beforehand and issued him with a second yellow card, as per rules introduced last season.
Centre-back Oisin McEntee was forced to stand in between the sticks; he could not however stop Chelsea forward Redan converting the retaken kick.
