Bayern Munich's woes continued as they lost a two-goal lead for the second successive week to draw 2-2 at Hertha Berlin's Olympiastadion in the Bundesliga.
Interim coach Willy Sagnol took charge of the Bundesliga champions after Carlo Ancelotti departed following the midweek Champions League humbling at Paris St Germain.
But after Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski scored either side of the interval, Bayern were stung again when Ondrej Duda and Salomon Kalou gave Hertha a deserved point.
Bayern, who had thrown away a 2-0 lead against Wolfsburg in their previous Bundesliga fixture, are now five points behind leaders Borussia Dortmund in the table.
The Bavarians' misery was compounded by the loss of Franck Ribery, who appeared to suffer a nasty injury when stretching for a ball in the second half.

Freiburg claimed a first win of the season as Florian Niederlechner, Caglar Soyuncu and Pascal Stenzel scored in a 3-2 victory over previously-unbeaten Hoffenheim.
Teenager Robert Hack, who scored on his debut, had given Hoffenheim the lead and Julian Schuster put through his own goal in stoppage time.
Bottom side Cologne suffered yet another defeat, losing 2-1 to Leipzig.
Cologne have picked up just one point from seven matches so far.
They threatened a late comeback when Yuya Osako pulled a goal back only two minutes after Yussuf Poulsen had scored Leipzig's second in the 80th minute.
But Poulsen's goal, added to Lukas Klostermann's 30th-minute opener, ultimately proved enough for the visitors.
In Italy, Serie A title hopefuls Roma struck a blow to AC Milan's own plans to recapture past glories by downing the new-look Rossoneri at San Siro on Sunday.
A full-strength Milan team boasting the likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Andre Silva and Hakan Calhanoglu - the Turkey midfielder was later sent off - could not resist a gritty attacking display from Roma, who struck twice in the second half through Edin Dzeko and the fit-again Alessandro Florenzi.
Dzeko grabbed his eighth goal of the season in all competitions when breaking Gianluigi Donnarumma's resolve and expansive wing-back Florenzi promptly doubled Roma's advantage with his first league strike in almost 18 months.
Earlier, prolific Napoli extended their fine domestic record to seven straight wins with a comfortable 3-0 home victory over Cagliari.
Maurizio Sarri's side, who made light work of the Sardinians, started the weekend top on goal difference from Juventus and are now three points clear in first before the champions face Atalanta later.
Marek Hamsik, Dries Mertens - with a penalty - and Kalidou Koulibaly wrapped up a routine win as Napoli scored at least three goals for an 11th successive league game.
Marcelo Brozovic notched twice against basement boys Benevento to lift Inter Milan into second place on the back of a 2-1 away win.
The Croatian rattled in two goals inside three first-half minutes to give Inter the upper hand against winless Benevento, who replied before the break through Marco D'Alessandro.
Just before the hour mark, D'Alessandro clattered a post, frustrating fans at the Stadio Ciro Vigorito waiting for a first top-flight point.

Lazio look ready to make a push into the Champions League places following the international break after thrashing Sassuolo 6-1 at the Stadio Olimpico.
Luis Alberto scored twice and set up Stefan de Vrij for another, with Marco Parolo also bagging a brace in response to Domenico Berardi's opener from the penalty spot. Ciro Immobile, who went into the match with 12 goals in all competitions, added late gloss with a spot-kick after he was fouled by Luca Mazzitelli.
Ten-man Hellas Verona plundered two late goals to stop Torino climbing into the Europa League spots.
Iago Falque and M'Baye Niang scored before half-time to heap further woe on Verona, winless following promotion, but there was a point on offer for the Gialloblu and they seized it when on-loan Juve forward Moise Kean and veteran striker Giampaolo Pazzini, from the spot, struck in the last couple of minutes to make it 2-2.
There was more drama when, seven minutes into stoppage time, Verona's Bruno Zuculini saw red for fouling Lyanco.
Lucas Castro's double was enough for Chievo to bounce back and beat Fiorentina 2-1 after Giovanni Simeone had fired a sixth-minute goal for La Viola.
Elsewhere, Crotone's Simy denied SPAL the chance to end a run of four straight defeats with a win as he replied to substitute Alberto Paloschi's strike to make it 1-1 in Ferrara.
Marcelo was controversially sent off as Lyon drew 3-3 with Angers in Ligue 1.
Lyon were leading 3-1 when Marcelo saw red in the 50th minute.
The defender was booked for a challenge and then sent off moments later after he appeared to accidentally knock the yellow card out of the referee's hand with a gesture of frustration at the original booking.
Angers wasted no time taking advantage of their extra man, with Karl Toko Ekambi pulling one back eight minutes later and Ismael Traore heading the equaliser in the 67th minute.
Lyon at least held on for a point having appeared in full control of the game thanks to first-half goals from Mariano Diaz, Mouctar Diakhaby and Memphis Depay.
Lyon's players scored all four goals in the first half, with Rafael netting an own goal for Angers.
Troyes defeated St Etienne 2-1 despite playing with 10 men for nearly an hour.
Karim Azamoum was sent off for a foul on Remy Cabella with the score at 0-0 but took the lead through Bryan Pele five minutes before half-time on his first start for the club.
Hernani equalised in the 53rd minute but Saif-Eddine Khaoui scored what proved to be the winner four minutes later with a brilliant free-kick.
And Hernani's first start on loan from Zenit St Petersburg ended on a sour note after he was sent off for a late foul.
Lionel Messi struck twice as LaLiga leaders Barcelona beat Las Palmas 3-0 in a match overshadowed by politics at a deserted Nou Camp.
Champions Real Madrid finally secured their first home win of the campaign at the fourth attempt as Isco scored both in a 2-0 defeat of Espanyol.
The Spaniard found the net in each half at the Bernabeu as Zinedine Zidane's men stayed within seven points of Barca.
Real dominated the game but Espanyol occasionally threatened and almost got back into the game when Gerard Moreno hit the post late in the first half.
They rallied after the break but Isco's second goal in the 70th minute ended their challenge.
Valencia held off an Athletic Bilbao fightback to move to third with a 3-2 win at the Mestalla.
A Simone Zaza effort and Daniel Parejo penalty put Valencia into a 2-0 half-time lead but Aritz Aduriz pulled one back before the hour.
Rodrigo restored a two-goal advantage but Raul Garcia struck 14 minutes from time to force Valencia to negotiate a tricky ending.
Goals were also in plentiful supply at Anoeta, where Real Sociedad and Real Betis played out a thrilling 4-4 draw.
Visitors Betis went ahead after six minutes when Paraguayan striker Antonio Sanabria scored for the third successive game but Willian Jose soon levelled. Mikel Oyarzabal netted in the 26th minute to put Sociedad in front but Zouhair Feddal levelled matters again two minutes later.
Veteran Joaquin put Betis back ahead moments into the second half only for Sociedad to reply again through Xabi Prieto.
Substitute Sergio Leon looked as if he had won it for Betis six minutes from time before Diego Llorente's 86th-minute header salvaged an incredible draw.
Cedric Bakumbu scored a hat-trick as Villarreal beat Eibar 3-0 at La Ceramica.
