Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has set his sights on qualification from Champions League Group A as soon as possible.

United continued their unbeaten run to the season with a comprehensive 4-1 win away to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday night.

Speaking to RTÉ Sport, the Red Devils manager said: "I’m really happy we put ourselves in a good position with six points in two matches.

"We have such a difficult Premier League to play that if we can qualify before the last match that would be a bonus for us.

"We have a double-fixture against Benfica, who have zero points.

"They are, in my opinion, the second best team in the group but they are going to make it really hard for us.

"Now we can control our destiny, we have two more games at home. We have six points, we have to be serious, strong and qualify as soon as possible."

The game was over as a contest by the 27th minute when Romelu Lukaku scored his second of the day, with Anthony Martial scoring inbetween the Belgian’s brace.

"To win was the most important, it was the real objective," the former Porto boss said.

"We were expecting a more difficult match but our start was really strong. We killed the game with 3-0 at half time.

"The second half we could score more but a little bit of relaxation is normal, by the opponent too."

Meanwhile, striker Lukaku, who has six Premier League goals so far, says he was ready for the pressure that came with a big signing-on fee at Manchester United.

"I think I was prepared," he told RTÉ Sport.

"I was waiting for this opportunity for a long time, the opportunity came and I grabbed it with both hands.

"I know there is still a lot of work to be done and I am relishing the challenge.

"We have to look game after game, we don’t have to look too far ahead.

"We have a lot of big games coming on now, especially in the up-coming month and right now we have to get a good result against Crystal Palace.

"Hopefully the players that go out on internationals don’t get injured for the tough run that’s coming up."
