Dundalk star Andy Boyle has agreed to join English Championship side Preston North End, according to the player’s agent.
Patrick Conliffe, who represents Boyle, took to Twitter earlier today to reveal that a deal between the two parties had been agreed.
Preston are currently 14th in the EFL Championship after 19 matches.
Boyle will not be eligible to play for his new club until the January transfer window reopens and the 25-year-old could potentially make his debut for the Deepdale club in their FA Cup encounter against Arsenal after signing a two-year deal.
The Dundalk defender has been a central figure in the Lilywhites’ dominance of the domestic game in recent seasons, winning three league titles in a row and earning a call-up to the Republic of Ireland squad for last month’s World Cup qualifier against Austria.
