Roy Carroll is back in the Northern Ireland squad for the friendly with Croatia on Tuesday after goalkeeper Michael McGovern returned to Norwich.

Linfield stopper Carroll, 39, has not been a part of Michael O'Neill's groups since Euro 2016, with McGovern, Alan Mannus and Trevor Carson the three keepers of choice.

However, with McGovern back in England for assessment on a minor problem and Carson having sustained a dislocated finger while playing for Hartlepool on Saturday, Carroll has been drafted back as cover for St Johnstone's Mannus.

QPR striker Conor Washington is another who will take no part against the Croats at Windsor Park after a groin injury forced him to withdraw prior to Friday's 4-0 World Cup qualifying win over Azerbaijan.
