Simon Mignolet believes he's done enough to get the nod for Liverpool's Monday night Premier League showdown with arch-rivals Manchester United.
Juergen Klopp has gone with summer signing Loris Karius for the last three games, but erratic performances from the 23-year-old German have prompted calls for Mignolet to be restored to the starting line-up.
The Belgian hasn't always instilled confidence in Reds fans, but he feels a good start to the season gave him credit in the bank.
"I didn't play the last two weeks and I don't want it to be any longer. I look at it positively. I hope to play against United. I still feel confident because of my good league start," Mignolet said.
"Against Arsenal, Tottenham and Leicester I have been important for the team by making some good saves. I have the advantage that the game against United is on Monday so I can have a full preparation.
"I don't know what the coach will decide. I can just prepare myself 100%. Whether I play or not, nothing will change my match preparation."

Fourth-placed Liverpool have won their last four league games. United, sixth in the table, won both league meetings between the sides last season.
On Thursday both clubs issued a joint statement warning fans they will be thrown out of the ground for any "offensive or discriminatory behaviour".
"There is great rivalry between our fans and we ask all supporters to be respectful and help eradicate all forms of offensive and discriminatory behaviour from the game," the statement read.
“If any supporters are found to be engaged in any form of offensive or discriminatory behaviour by stewards or via CCTV then they will be immediately removed from the stadium, risk arrest, prosecution and be reported in accordance with the club’s ground regulations."
