Gavin Brennan has left Shamrock Rovers after the player and club agreed to terminate his contract.
The 28-year-old midfielder joined the Hoops for the 2015 season from his hometown club Drogheda United but has fallen out of favour since the departure of former manager Pat Fenlon in July.
Fenlon's former assistant Stephen Bradley is now in charge in a caretaker role.
Today I've left shamrock rovers. Fully enjoyed my time there under pat Fenlon. Wish the lads tat play there all the best in the future.

Brennan said on Twitter that he had enjoyed playing under Fenlon but that he had since found himself "left in the stands with no explanation" and joked that he would have had to pay in to Tallaght Stadium if he had remained with the club.
