Republic of Ireland assistant manager Roy Keane was a keen observer as Barcelona were put through their pre-season paces at their English training base today.
The Spanish giants will be in Dublin this weekend where they will face Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic at the Aviva Stadium in the International Champions Cup series and continued preparations with a morning session at St George's Park.
The former Manchester United captain watched on with interest as Barca manager Luis Enrique, whom Keane encountered during his playing days, oversaw training at the English FA's national sports ground
Leo Messi and Luis Suarez were among the relatively youthful squad who will follow their Dublin date with a game against Premier League champions Leicester City in Stockholm on 3 August.
Three days later they take on Liverpool at Wembley.
Earlier today, the Catalan side completed the signing of Valencia midfielder Andre Gomes.
The Portugal international arrived at the Nou Camp last night following an announcement last week that a reported €35m deal had been agreed between the two La Liga clubs.
The 22-year-old, who was part of Portugal's Euro 2016-winning squad, spent the 2014-15 season on loan at Valencia from Benfica before making the move permanent last summer.
