Sligo Rovers boss Dave Robertson is confident his men are straining at the leash after a two-week break gave them a "mini pre-season".
The Bit O'Red head for Longford Town on Saturday night (7.30), their first away assignment since the 3-0 defeat to Finn Harps on 3 June.
However, after beating St Pat's 1-0 at the Showgrounds last time out, Sligo can claim back-to-back wins for the fourth time in this season.
"The players have all been working very hard over the last couple of weeks," said Robertson.
"We have had like a mini pre-season where we have developed and maintained the players’ strength and conditioning which I think can help.
"We have also been working on a couple of technical elements. In the first half against St Pat’s I felt that we went a bit too direct but were better in the second so we have re-organised on that so that we will play football with the style that we want.”
"There is nothing for Longford to lose in this game."
Sligo can jump up to fifth with victory at the City Calling Stadium, though Robertson is braced for a battle against the league's bottom side.
“There will definitely not be anybody underestimating Longford," he insisted. "There is nothing for them to lose in this game.
"They will come out like a wounded animal and will be scraping and fighting for pride. It is a cup final for them and they need the three points.
"We will have to earn the right to play in the game and win that contest before we can impose ourselves on the game. They will definitely pose a threat, we saw that with the three set-piece goals they scored against Dundalk.”
The visitors have a clean bill of health for the journey, with the suspended Regan Donelon the only absentee after he picked up his fifth yellow card of the season.
