Dundalk may have a chance for revenge against last year’s Champions League conquerors BATE Borisov provided they can win their second-round tie against Iceland’s Hafnarfjordur on Wednesday.

The sides are level at 1-1 after last week’s first leg at Oriel Park but today’s draw sets up a third-round fixture against the winners of BATE v SJK of Finland.

The Belarusian league winners, who are regulars in the Champions League group stages and beat the Lilywhites 2-1 on aggregate last season in the second round, hold a 2-0 lead going into the second leg.

Celtic will face either Astana of Kazakhstan or Zalgiris Vilnius of Lithuania if they manage to overcome Lincoln Red Imps.

The Hoops are favourites to reach the next stage despite an embarrassing 1-0 loss to part-timers Lincoln in the first leg of their second-round tie.

Manager Brendan Rodgers suffered a humiliating first game in charge when a second-half goal from Ministry of Defence police officer Lee Casciaro condemned the Scottish champions to defeat in Gibraltar.

Should Celtic overturn that deficit in the second leg at Parkhead next Wednesday, they face a long trip to either central Asia, to face Astana, or the Baltics to meet Vilnius.

The third-round ties will be played on 26/27 July and 2/3 August

The draw, held in Nyon, Switzerland, was preceded by a moment's silence for the Nice attack on Thursday night.

Meanwhile, in the Europa League St Patrick’s Athletic, who must get past Dimano Minsk with an away goal in the bag from last night’s 1-1 first-leg draw in Belarus, will meet either Serbia’s Vojvodina or Connah's Quay from Wales in the third round.

Vojvodina are 1-0 up from the first leg ahead of the trip to Wales.

Cork City, who also hold a slight advantage over Sweden's BK Häcken with a 1-1 away draw, could face Genk in the next round, the Belgians hold a 2-0 lead over Budućnost Podgorica of Montenegro after their home leg.

West Ham will play either Shakhtyor Soligorsk of Belarus or Slovenian side Domzale in the third qualifying round.

Northern Irish side Cliftonville will take on Spartak Moscow if they can come back from a 3-2 first-leg defeat against Cypriots AEK Larnaca.
