Bournemouth have signed Lys Mousset on a four-year deal from French side Le Havre for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old striker has been with the French Ligue 2 side since 2006 but signed his first professional contract in 2014.
Mousset has been part of the French Under-20 side since 2015 and has won eight caps.
Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake told the official website: "Lys is another player with great potential that we are delighted to bring to the football club.
"We're always planning for the future and Lys is not only a young player with exciting potential, but someone who had a massive impact for their club last season.
"We look forward to welcoming him to Vitality Stadium and believe he will only continue to improve under the tutelage of Eddie (Howe) and Jason (Tindall)."
The signing comes 24 hours after the Cherries completed a season-long loan deal for Chelsea's Nathan Ake, who manager Howe is looking forward to working with after watching him on loan at Watford last season.
Howe told the Bournemouth Echo: "Nathan had a really good season with Watford and also caught the eye during his loan spell with Reading in the Championship.
"We have played against him three times in the past couple of seasons and he has performed very well in all three games.
"He was used predominantly at left-back by Watford and also played at centre-back for them. His favoured position is as a central midfielder.
"He really did excel for Watford and I think those experiences will benefit us during the coming season.
"We will look to develop his talent and will be keen to see how he fits into the talented squad we have.
"He is technically very good and is coming to us with a really good year of Premier League games under his belt, so we are really excited at the prospect of working with him."
