Bohemians 1-1 Galway United
Ryan Connolly's long-range strike earned visiting Galway a well-earned point against Bohemians at Dalymount Park this evening.
Connolly smashed the ball past Dean Delany from 25 yards out to cancel out Ismahil Akinade's early goal for the hosts, a result which lifts Galway above St Pat's into fifth in the Premier Division table.
Galway appeared to have taken the lead in the opening minutes but Stephen Folan's header was called back for offside.
Bohs took the lead soon after, with Akinade pouncing to beat keeper Conor Winn from close range on 11 minutes.
Galway were straight back on the attack, with Connolly at the heart of things. His cross picked out John Sullivan, who sent in a powerful shot that would surely have beaten Delany had it not been struck straight at the keeper.
Connolly's effort did the trick on the half-hour, however, and Delany had to be alive to keep matters level after that, making good saves from Colm Horgan and again from Connolly.
