Republic of Ireland midfielder Harry Arter has signed a new three-year Bournemouth deal which sees him extend his time at the Vitality Stadium until 2019.
Arter joined the Cherries in June 2010 and made 21 appearances for the club in their first season in the Barclays Premier League after missing the start of the campaign due to injury.
Speaking to the official website, Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake said: "We're delighted to secure Harry's long-term future at the club.
"Harry has been on every step of the journey and he has been an important figure in our rise through the leagues.
"He has made over 200 appearances for the club and has also become an international footballer, so we're really pleased to give Harry this new deal."
Arter's Euro 2016 dream was shattered after he was forced to leave the squad due to a thigh injury ahead of the final warm-up game against Belarus.
He had impressed in the previous friendly with the Netherlands and had been tipped to break into Martin O'Neill's starting 11 before the untimely injury blow.
