Cork City booked their place into the quarter-finals of the EA Sports Cup after a crushing seven-goal victory over Waterford at Turner's Cross.
The game was deadlocked at the break, but John Caulfield's side hit the goal trail just a minute after the interval when Danny Morrissey opened the scoring.
From there the floodgates opened with Ian Turner, Gavan Holohan, Gearoid Morrissey, Mark O'Sullivan, Conor McCarthy getting on the scoresheet, with O'Sullivan adding his second and Cork's seventh in the 72nd minute.
Meanwhile, holders St Patrick's Athletic dumped last year's double champions Dundalk out of the competition.
One of three games to finish 0-0 after 90 minutes, the Saints progressed thanks to Rory Feely's goal seven minutes from the end of extra-time.
The midfielder took his chance at the second attempt, bundling the ball past Gabriel Sava after his initial header was saved by the goalkeeper.
Galway United and Finn Harps couldn't be separated after 120 minutes but missed penalties from Ryan Curran and Ethan Boyle cost the Donegal men during the shoot-out.
In the final game of the evening Shelbourne got the better of Dublin neighbours Bohemians after sudden-death penalties.
The sides had not met in the competition in five years and it was the First Division team who held their nerve during the shoot-out, winning 4-3.
