St Patrick's Athletic striker Christy Fagan has been named the SSE Airtricity/Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland Player of the Month for March.
It is the third time that Fagan has won the month award, following a positive start to the season. The striker netted in the Saints' opening four games and is hoping that the months ahead can bring silverware to the Inchicore club.
"The aim is to win something this season like it always is at St Pat's. That's the target we have set as a team.
"Personally, I have targets in my own head, a number I'd like to get to but I will see how it goes. I have started well with the goals I have got so far."
"In winning the award, Fagan saw off competition from Cork City striker Sean Maguire and Dundalk winger Daryl Horgan who were joint-second in the voting."
