Former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Paddy Kenny has linked up with old boss Neil Warnock at Championship side Rotherham United until the end of the season.
Kenny, who has played under Warnock at Bury, Sheffield United, Leeds and QPR, won the last of his seven international caps in 2006.
He voluntarily cancelled his contract with Bury back in November to save the club money, after a calf injury meant he would not have played for them before his deal was due to end.
He will now renew a long-standing relationship with Warnock, who hopes the 37-year-old will bring some stability to Rotherham's survival fight. They are currently third from bottom, five points from safety.
“Young Alex Cairns is a good 'keeper but I think that at this level you need a bit of experience at what is a critical time of the season,” Warnock told the club's website.
“Paddy will give us that in abundance. Andy Dibble has been really pleased with Paddy; he has looked sharp and brings great experience at this level.”
