FAI cheif excutive John Delaney has said a new deal that will see every Airtricity League game live-streamed outside of Ireland next season will increase the league's global reach.
More than 250 games will be streamed online after the organisation agreed a partnership with specialists in live-streaming, data collection, betting and video analysis Trackchamp.
Delaney said the deal, which will run for an initial four years, will give the league a global audience and boost clubs’ on and off the pitch.
"We are constantly striving to improve the SSE Airtricity League. The introduction of exciting new technologies which will increase global reach and will allow clubs to gather increased technological analysis can only be good for the national game,” said Delaney.
Up to 15 jobs are expected to be created across the country to maintain the service.
Delaney last year described the SSE Airtricity League as "a difficult child", adding that it was "a difficult sell" due to its proximity to England's Premier League.
