England hopeful Jack Grealish has been sent to train with the Aston Villa U21s after footage emerged of him drinking and partying at a nightclub just hours after his side were hammered 4-0 by Everton.

New manager Remi Garde has wasted little time in stamping his authority at the club with Villa sitting at the bottom of the Premier League. Grealish's latest indiscretion could not come at a worse time after he failed to impress and was eventually substituted against Everton.

The Aston Villa youngster has a history of being caught on camera in compromising situations and was fined by the club last season after he appeared to inhale nitrous oxide from a balloon.

It is not yet known whether he will be considered for the weekend's game with Watford but Garde has not been impressed of the level of Grealish's performances so far.

Last week the Villa boss insisted that the midfielder is far from the finished article and said: "Jack for me is a very gifted player with a lot of skill and quality but what I saw in the last few games he played was not the level he should have played.

"It is as simple as that. He needed more confidence and more structure in his game. For me he is an unfinished player.

"If you don't work and you are gifted it is not enough. But when you work hard you will be rewarded for that."
