Republic of Ireland defender Stephen Kelly has signed for Championship side Rotherham.
The 32-year-old had been without a club since leaving Reading at the end of last season.
The Dubliner signed a deal with Rotherham, currently bottom of the Championship, until the end of this season.
Manager Neil Redfearn said: “Stephen is obviously a vastly experienced player.
“He has played many times for his country and has played at good levels in the Premier League and The Championship. He is a fit lad, he has looked after himself well and he is a great addition for us.”
"He has a good height for a defender and he uses the ball well"
The defender played 15 times in England's second tier last season before leaving the Royals after three years with the club.
“He can play anywhere across the back four,” added Redfearn.
“He played in a central role in the behind closed door games and that’s where we will probably utilise him to begin with, but he is very versatile.
"He has got pace, he is very athletic and he has a good height for a defender and he uses the ball well."
The 38-times capped player joins Ireland striker Leon Best, who signed for the Millers yesterday.
