Ireland U-21 0-0 Norway U21

Ireland's U21s drew 0-0 in a friendly with Norway on Tuesday night at the RSC in Waterford - as qualifier action elsewhere saw Italy leap to the top of Group 2

King's men had chances against the Norwegians, with Harry Charsley testing Per Kristian Bratvelt early on in the visitors' goal.

Charlsey then spun brilliantly on the edge of the box only to be denied again by Bratvelt in the 34th minute.

Sub keeper Sondre Rossbach kept Ireland at bay after the break, tipping over Conor Wilkinson's header before Alexander Sorloth went close for Norway.

Both sides made several changes as the game petered out to a goalless draw.

In Ireland's Euro Qualifier Group Slovenia overcame Serbia 2-0 Serbia, and the Italians eased past Lithuania also on a 2-0 scoreline.

Italy top the group on 13 points, Slovenia have 12, Serbia have 10 while Ireland, who lost to Lithuania on Friday have 9. Slovenia have played a game more than Italy, Serbia and Ireland.
