SSE Airtricity League champions Dundalk dominate the PFAI Team of the Year for 2015, with seven of their players making the line-up voted for by the players in the league.

Drogheda United goalkeeper Michael Schlingermann makes the team, despite conceding more goals than any of his Premier Division contemporaries.

The back four is entirely made up of Lilywhite players, with Dane Massey, Andy Boyle, Brian Gartland and Sean Gannon selected.

Stephen O’Donnell and Richie Towell are chosen in midfield alongside winger Daryl Horgan.

St Patrick’s Athletic’s James Chambers and Shamrock Rovers’ Brandon Miele have been picked to play in advanced roles behind lone striker Mark O’Sullivan of Cork City.

Horgan, O’Donnell, Towell and O’Sullivan will fight it out for the coveted player of the year accolade.

Miele, Ismahil Akinade of Bohemians and Dundalk’s Sean Gannon make up the young player of the year list.
