Netherlands striker Robin van Persie hasn’t given up hope of qualifying for Euro 2016, despite his team’s dismal form.
Holland's destiny is out of their hands as they head into their final qualifiers against Kazakhstan and the Czech Republic.
They lie fourth in Group A, nine points adrift of leaders Iceland and the Czechs, who have both already sealed their places in next year's big event.
The Dutch side's only hope is to overhaul Turkey and finish third, which would earn them an unlikely place in next month's play-offs.
Turkey, who are away to the Czechs on Saturday and host Iceland on Tuesday night, are two points above the Oranje.
"It's out of our hands now but we still have a chance," said Van Persie. "There are still two qualifiers left to play and we have to win them both."
Holland have qualified for every European Championship since 1984.
They go into Saturday's penultimate qualifier in Astana with just a single win in their last four competitive matches.
Holland followed their 1-0 home loss to Iceland with a 3-0 defeat in Turkey last time out with both games played under new coach Danny Blind.
If the Dutch get two wins, they will need Turkey, who hold a better head-to-head record, to lose at least once.
Van Persie, who plays for Turkish giants Fenerbahce, said: "I believe Turkey will definitely drop points in their last two games.
"The Turkish players at Fenerbahce are all confident they will progress, but I have no doubt they will slip up.
"It is now up to us to ensure we bag the full three points in both of our last two games.
"That is all that matters. It is not important how we win, so long as we win."
Holland have lost three of their four away qualifying games and have failed to score in their last two encounters.
Van Persie, set to earn his 100th cap against Kazakhstan, will have an added motivation to find the target on Saturday as his next goal will be his 50th for the senior national team.
Kazakhstan have not won a qualifying game and are at the foot of the standings with just two points from eight games.
The last time the sides met, Holland came from behind to beat 10-man Kazakhstan 3-1.
